Domain Registration Policy
Last updated 4 November 2026
1. Our role
We act as a reseller of accredited registrars. Each registration is subject to the rules of the relevant registry and to ICANN policies for generic domains; those rules form part of your agreement with us.
2. .om and Omani second-level domains
- .om domains are administered by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) under its domain name regulations (including Decision No. 1152/2022) and are registered only through TRA-accredited registrars.
- Registrants must have local presence in Oman. We will ask for documents such as a commercial registration, trade licence, authorisation letter or trademark certificate, as the registry requires.
- Names must not infringe trademarks or trade names, contain offensive terms, or conflict with reserved names. The registry may reject any application; if it does, we refund the domain fee less any non-recoverable registry or registrar charges.
- Processing may take several working days after complete documents are received. Assignment of an existing .om domain to a new holder is subject to registry fees.
3. Your obligations
Registrant data must be accurate. Inaccurate data, or failure to respond to a verification request within 15 days, may lead to suspension or deletion by the registry. You confirm the domain does not infringe third-party rights.
4. Renewals and expiry
We send renewal reminders before expiry. Domains not renewed by the expiry date may stop resolving and enter the registry’s grace and redemption periods; restoring a domain in redemption carries an additional fee.
5. Transfers
Transfers are possible when the domain is unlocked, older than 60 days (for gTLDs) and you hold the authorisation code. Some country-code domains, including .om, follow the registry’s own transfer process.
6. Disputes
Disputes over generic domains follow the UDRP. Disputes over .om domains follow the TRA dispute-resolution procedure. We comply with decisions issued under those procedures and by competent courts.
