Install a WordPress theme or plugin
From the WordPress directory
- Sign in to your WordPress admin at `https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin`.
- Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New for a theme, or Plugins → Add New for a plugin.
- Search, click Install, then Activate.
From a ZIP file you bought
- Go to Appearance → Themes → Add New → Upload Theme, or Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Choose the ZIP file and click Install Now, then Activate.
- ZIP files can be up to 128 MB. For bigger files, unzip them on your computer and upload the folder with SFTP into `wp-content/themes` or `wp-content/plugins`.
Tips
- Install only what you need and keep everything updated.
- If the site breaks after installing, rename the new folder with SFTP to switch it off.
